Today’s quote:
.
“”It’s hard to be humble, when you’re as great as I am.” – Muhammad Ali
.
Every one of us is confident in something. There is something that we know we are good at and even possibly better than anyone around us, no matter what anyone says. But there are also things we are not confident about, things that makes us feel inadequate and lowers our self-esteem.
.
It is always our choice on how we talk, think, believe and focus on. Why would we ever give so much focus on the things we are not good at? Whatever we focus on the most, that in turn sends a message to our brain as the most important subject for this current state of time. This applies to both the negative and positive state of mind.
.
One of the 3 pillars in our program is “Personal Investment” and this is on purpose. Lets be honest, we are all very busy and some days all we really want to do is get to the end of it so we can relax. For many of us this becomes a regular cycle day in and day out. Our lives get busier, we continue to live in this stressed environment that we are created and this becomes our reality. For the people who live the same busy life but yet seem to be getting ahead, are the people who personally invest in themselves.
.
Personal investment is simply growing and not stopping the process of learning. Whether it’s hobbies or your professional life, “personal investment” is so key. It keeps brain moving, it increases motivation and it increases yourself confidence. This hits the nail on the head on what we were talking about earlier. Rather then bumming out on things we are not good at, why not work at being good at it. If you are tired of being over weight, start working at at. Don’t just sit there and be sad you’re overweight, go do everything it takes to solve that issue. If you failing at your job or just aren’t the best at what you do, then go and work your butt off at being the best at what you do.
.
There are 2 types of people, there are “doers” and “watchers”. The great thing about this is the we get to choose what type of person we are. If you think about it, the people around you either gravitate towards you or way from you. Lets just be honest, people gravitate towards people that inspire them and deep down inside want to be like in some form or another. When we just watch, then we get left behind. When we do, we keep with our dreams and goals. When we DO, we stay motivated and have the ability to invest in others. The “watching” folks are so focused on themselves that they have taken all the energy they have. When you are so negative, you are so worried about you that you have no time to invest in others.
.
The one thing I know is that you being here makes you a “doer” and someone who desires more. Just because we are “doer” doesn’t mean there are days that are hard or days that you doubt your ability. But what it means is that you don’t focus on that part. You focus on WHAT you want to be and WHERE you want to be so much that a little negative thought or set back will not slow you down.
.
You see, no one is just lucky, no one just “got their break!” However, those people have worked so hard and have stayed focused for so long that the fruit of their effort have simply started to bloom!
.
As you go on with your day, know you have EVERYTHING it takes for your fruit of your efforts to bloom!
.
Our Daily 3 Pillars:
– Fitness (15 minutes): We will use HIIT (hight intensity interval training) as our vehicle to increase our fitness and get a better bang for our buck. Don’t be surprised when results start showing up faster than normal.
– Quiet time (5 minutes): Some call this meditation, prayer time or times of gratitude. This is where we pause from all the rat racing and allow for peace to enter.
– Personal Investment (10 minutes): Personal development. This is you investing in you. Whether its reading, listening to a podcast, listening or sitting a reading a book (I’ll list a few of my favorites below).
